No, Lapis Lazuli was definitely different than everyone else. Her hair, her likes. Though people accepted her, even if she was odd and had an easily flaring rage. 

Jasper was different, too. Everyone knew it, and it was hard for her to fit in. Being in the army made them wary, intimidated. 

Funny how little Steven Universe was the reason this relationship was formed.
