Meet Layla, a 20 year old Caribbean girl. She lives in a beautiful island called Puerto Rico. She's fun, carefree, simple, loves to dance, and is always with a smile. Her life consists on going to college, hanging out with her friends Angie and Jamie, or with her family, and working on a small, fancy, and cozy bakery that she loves. Her life seems to be just fine until someone unexpected appear in her life.
Then meet Dylan Mitchell, a 21 year old American guy, whose family just moved to live in Puerto Rico. He's new in the university and seems to be a cocky and a little egocentric person. Nothing in common with the simple and humble Layla, right? But what happens when Layla gets to know the real Dylan when he's out of campus? They seemed to have more things in common than what they expected. In short time, they became great friends, but will they be more than that? Does Dylan will let her be a part of his life? You'll have to read more to know!

This is my first story so feel free to read, vote and comment! I'm from Puerto Rico, making Spanish my first language. Therefore, there might be some grammar errors! But I hope you enjoy it anyways! Have fun guys! Tropical kisses from Puerto Rico!

-Summer teen romance- Isla Nova Dawson has always been the type of girl to hang out amongst big crowds of people. She prefers the company of a few people where she feels the most confident in. She thrives lost in the crowd, where she can confidently make jokes and laugh heartily at others that may not be that funny. There's no surprise why Isla has become some of the popular type at school- she loves being known by others. Julian Hayes isn't a loner. No- far from it- he has a group of friends he plays baseball with and surf during the summer. He has family that he is known to hang out with. He just tends to stay away from big crowd of people where he doesn't feel comfortable in. Isla and her friends find themself at this opportunity of a lifetime. Finishing off her Junior year of high school, her school offers resources to go on a trip with teenagers like her. Travel for Teens isn't a new concept but it is for the small town of South Carolina. At this opportunity, the group of people jump at the chance to get out and do something new which will no doubt be fun. It was supposed to be fun for Julian as well but after plans abruptly change and thousands of dollars that cannot go to waste, he finds himself alone at the trip. Sure, he can go out and socialize with teenagers especially since they're ones from his school but he finds himself isolated from the group. The teens throw a big party at the house during the end of the trip. The small leads to a boring night at the end. The teens find themself playing little games to occupy time. "I dare you to kiss a guy you don't even know the name of," Isla was asked and soon she found herself kissing Julian. It shocks Julian to a pause, here he was sitting idly to a girl kissing him suddenly. Julian ponders on it, but then finds out that the kiss wasn't meant to be anything. But will the kiss turn out to be nothing if life throws the pair together on many counts? Or will two strangers keep it that way?

This story is my happy place; I do not plan on ever finishing it. It will go on and on like a soapie. Might break it up into volumes later. "Grab a bunch of broken misfits, chuck them in a tribe, add some glitter and loads of weird-as garbage, voila, you've got yourself a fairy tale... kinda... just... you know... minus the fairies..." Paisley Davenport ♫ When Willow Mayfair's life falls apart, her mother brings her to Briar Cove, the small coastal town where she grew up. Living with Rebecca's childhood friend, a new world filled with love, excitement, and friendship opens up for both of them. For everybody who also dreams of a fairy tale and won't care if the "knights" were a little dirty. Genre: Slice of Life/Romance/Humour This is a slow-burn journey through love and life, filled with an array of beloved characters, their sad moments, happy moments and a multitude of bat-sh#t crazy moments. P.S.: This is not a fairy tale... Thank you: Micaela, for helping the characters take on a life of their own and encouraging me to keep on writing. Phillo, for not minding reading girly stories... if it's to help your mom. Jeandré, your weird-as sense of humour and quirky feedback inspires me and keeps me going. ♫ This is a work of fiction. Any names or characters, businesses or places, events or incidents are fictitious. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. "I want how it was before. I want it all with you in my life again... I'm asking you to stay." Miles Cobain-Smith An aloof and detached logician, he scrutinizes the simplest things through microscopic lenses. Academic validation, family expectations, and unwavering care for the few people close to him sum up his life, and he certainly doesn't have time for love... yet. Juliet Everly A hopeless romantic, she sees the world through rose-colored glasses. According to her, love is magical and the purest thing one can ever encounter. Her world revolves around her dad and friends, and she's very content in her small-town life. She finds solace in romance books, nature, music, and her quiet attachment to bygone eras and everything vintage. Their paths cross. Clashing is inevitable, but there's something more... underneath the teasing remarks, stupid jokes, and laughter, an undercurrent too perplexing to decipher. When ignoring the spark becomes too much, their lives take a whole different turn. Hopes get crushed, dreams get shattered, and hearts get broken as the unexpected hits like a whirlwind. Gentle walks in the rain, soothing ocean breezes, hushed revelations, and an idyllic small town as a tranquil backdrop - how long until the picture-perfect expectations crumble into a mess of feelings too hard to hold back? All we can say is, it will be something unforgettable. Featured on @romance @storiesundiscovered @YA
