Set in the future. Everyone has an Augmented Reality device sitting on the backs of their neck. The ultimate wearable interface. It transmits signal directly into the central nervous system allowing you to see and also touch, taste, smell and feel a digital world around you. People can digitally alter the way that everyone else sees them. Jobs are posted publically and reward points are given to those who do them. Reward points have become the preferred currency. It's possible to perform tasks for multiple employers, but Jaime has chosen to work in space aboard the long range Spacecraft Hermes925 the full 40 hours per week. Damned if he's doing any overtime though!

An autistic adult Alexis (26) goes to bed after doing her nightly chores. Whilst sleeping she has a heart attack and dies, she awakens in another world next to a dead woman, in the body of a child. Thinking she's dreaming she thinks nothing of it and goes on as if it's a dream about survival. She finds a cave and decides to make it her new home.. only for it's occupant to come out and attack her, a wild grizzly bear. It pins her down and tries to maul her, except her skin doesn't break.. She punches it in the snout to get it to back off, only for her tiny fist to go through its skull.. What is she? Why can't she leave this dream? (This story is part two of my 'Feline Afterlife' universe series.)
