Remgrove sits next to a forest called Tenebris Forest that acts as one of many beacons for the supernatural, and for generations, a group of people known as Shadowmire Hunters have protected them. Payton is one of these protectors and guards Tenabris Forest with her supernatural friend Cosmo.

For three years Payton has done her part, but when Shadowmire Hunters everywhere start turning up dead and the ghost of a dead Shadowmire Huntress shows up to warn Payton that a man named Ryker is coming to kill her, everything is thrown off balance. Who is Ryker? What does he want? Can she escape his bloody wrath before it's too late?
