The King is dead. Long live the King. The sole heir will take his throne, and send the country into chaos. Prince Nikolai is sadistic, sociopathic, and purely dangerous. The nobles are desperate, and in that desperation, they come across what could easily be their one and only hope: Rani. Now, all they have to do is convince her to take what is rightfully hers. The Kingdom. Their only problem is that Rani does not want the throne. She does not want to have the lives of millions upon her shoulders. However, she knows that leaving them to the heir is the very same as executing them. Rani must decide between giving her life to a man who does not deserve to be King, or giving her life to the millions of people that need her. The King is dead. Long live the QUEEN.

In a land divided by war, two enemies are forced into an unlikely alliance. Nikolai, a charismatic and detached elven playboy, is thrust into the dangerous politics of his kingdom when a fragile peace with the Hebrews, ruled by the royal Hebrew family, is threatened. Crowe, the rebellious young prince of the Hebrews, is haunted by his royal blood and his inability to live up to expectations. He seeks solace in alcohol, shunning the duties of his title. When the kingdoms face the brink of open conflict, both men are sent on a perilous mission that will determine the fate of their people. As they journey together through war-torn lands and face ancient forces beyond their understanding, their volatile relationship slowly transforms. The bickering and disdain between them turn into something deeper, something forbidden-an undeniable attraction neither can control. But their love, as intense as it may become, is bound by the cruel constraints of their roles. With kingdoms at war, a love between an elf and a prince is a tragedy waiting to unfold. Caught between their duty and the growing feelings they have for one another, they must decide what they're willing to sacrifice in the name of peace-whether their kingdoms, their identities, or each other. In a world where magic and betrayal intertwine, can forbidden love ever survive the cost of war?
