She was sitting on the rocky floor now with her back against an uneven wall, and it was trying to pin her down and hold her still. She kept her eyes turned away and struggled helplessly, but it was no use. It was strong like a human man too, and she couldn't keep it off of her. The wings had moved until they curved around them both and shut out a lot of the light. Its face was so near hers that she could feel its breath brushing against her skin. "Please just look at me for a second. Just look. I'm not going to hurt you." One of the hands grabbed her chin and forced her head to turn, and then she was looking straight into a pair of dark brown eyes. It had a human face too. She had been expecting something monstrous or ghastly, and the surprise made her falter for a moment. He looked young, with a bad haircut and an earnest expression on his face. I decided to move away and to try and find an exit but I didn't even take one step back when I heard his voice. "Princess? Is that you?" I saw him raise his head before shooting his eyes onto me. The sudden gaze caused to heart to race while it froze my body as if I have turned into ice. I felt the fear engulf my body, eating me inside out. "You aren't scared of me... Are you?" he asked me, I sensed the envy in his voice. That mixed with his harsh tone caused a wave of goosebumps to course through my body. I wanted to begin by asking him where was I? She gasped and used the little strength she had left to turn around and look at the man, but certainly not a human one. Muscles rippled across every part of his toned body, nearly seven feet tall in height. Beneath his brows, his lavender eyes were as direct as expected, not even blinking as much as the average person. Unfortunately, his haunting eyes landed on the small human, seemingly examining her shaking figure closely. His lips curved into a grin, revealing his dangerously sharp teeth. Realization dawned on her, he was going to eat her. Little did she know, he was actually going to marry her. • snippet • She pulled out of his hold and took a step back. "You want to use me."
