Far into the future, all humans have a gene that gives them a deathly intolerance to sunlight, which causes them to become nocturnal creatures. It takes place in the Tynan Kingdom, for most governments have turned to monarchies once more. The society of the Tynan Kingdom names everyone based on traits of the individual, thus the names are not given till their 6th birthdays. The name is subject to change until they are 14 years old. The story begins when a little girl shows up in the kingdom, slightly tan and having freckles... something that can only happen when in contact with sunlight. How is it that she's not dead? That's what Darcy and her best friend Laverick want to know, and they'll do anything to find out... even perhaps risk their lives.All Rights Reserved
