When Piper Dawson's father died when she was at the young age of only seven, her mother seemed to have died along with him. Not literally, though. Just emotionally. But that was enough for Piper to feel unwanted and unloved, having to seemingly grow up by herself, with not even any friends to help her through, due to the fact that her one and only friend decided to leave her, too. Now she is parent-less and friend-less.
Ten years later, and add this ex-best friend and his psychotic, bullying on- and off-again girlfriend, and it's obvious that Piper has a horrible life on her hands.
