Almost forty years after the infection spread throughout the world, civilization is almost gone. The infected are almost everywhere and raiders kill mercilessly. This is the world that Adriana and Xander grew up in. The two are different, with Xander being harsh and Adriana being afraid to kill. When the two meet, they are separated from their group. Now they must travel to find their loved ones and the fireflies, while facing hardships and feelings on the way.

Not knowing what else to do, many fled the country, others emptied stores and locked themselves inside their homes, while not a small number stirred up riots and fights in the streets.
