We sat there on the couch together in silence, concentrating on the horror stories being told on the news. Some more bodies were found, each worse than the first. Not only bites but gashes and dismembered limbs. There were even a reports of the bodies being unrecognizable as human beings at first glance. All the blood was drained by each victim, that was the one repetition in the stories. There was no way these were the usual vampire stories you read in books. They were monsters with no thought process, with no soul. Will we be safe here?
