Dan Howell is a very rebellious, angry teenager (like most). His family, his life, and his hair are all a huge mess. He's been attending the same awful high school for 3 years now, and his only rule of survival is to avoid emotional attachment as much as possible.

Phil Lester is probably the most awkward person alive. When he arrives at his new high school, things begin to go downhill. Everyone else his age had been there for 3 years and very much enjoys making fun of Phil. All he can do is try to keep quiet and avoid as many people as possible.

This is until an act of kindness changes the boys' worlds. See as two opposite universes collide, creating something unexpected.
