One glance of Keith's haunted blue eyes tells her he's finally ready to talk. As for her? She no longer cares enough to listen. At least that's what she tells herself. Besides, Sapphire has enough on her plate. Her best friend Diana is barely holding up, desperate, Sapphire pushes her issues with Keith aside and teams up with Diana's potential interest, Matt. Together, she and Matt struggle to keep Diana from slipping into depression. When Sapphire blows off steam by kissing another guy during a random house party, Keith falls apart. The Coffee Shop
There was something different about this coffee shop. I had been coming here for eight years and I just couldn't find myself ever losing interest in it. I just kept coming back. Whether it was to enjoy their delicious drinks and treats or just to relax and think. Or maybe it was just to enjoy and admire the flamboyant woman behind the counter. Mature Language involved. As if on cue, my room door bursts open, and in comes a girl. She's short, round in the face and has caramel skin; the ends of her natural, curly afro hair are died turquoise, and brown eyes lined with navy blue liner stare at me with curiosity, relief, but most of all, love. It's as if I've never seen her before in all my life, but I know her. I don't even have to ask who it is, or wait for an introduction. "Evetta," I breathe, but from the way that her lips curl into a smile, I know that she heard me. *** Caleb Winters wakes from a coma after a horse riding incident which he cannot remember, with chunks of his memory missing.
