One day Mrs. Ketchum came around a old area of ruins where she found Ash in the bubble. There was a note that read 'This is Ash, an 8 year old boy, he will be filled with memories of anyone who touches the bubble in front of you as their mother or father. Please take him in as your own and keep the truth of him of me being his father. As well, please don't give him any memories of him being the prince of Kanto or being an aura guardian.
