Suishou Hakuchou had been content in her sheltered life until the only world she knew was tragically torn apart by a car crash. With her body so badly broken and horrendously disfigured, it would have been better for her to be spared her parents' fates than exist in this grotesque form of half girl, half corpse. She wanted to die to stop the pain and nightmares, but she didn't.
              
Waking up in a new world fitted with prosthetics of a science fiction reverie, all she feels at first is numb, just the hollow shell of a girl who should have went to heaven. However as time passes, her will to live is strengthened by a devoted nurse, a lame boy wiser than his age, a child whose story is even more piteous than hers, the inspiring striker of Mikage Sennou's soccer club, and a mysterious anonymous who claims to be the only ally she can trust. But all of this changes when she becomes entwined by the lies and plotting of deceiving men and enters the world of the Football Frontier.
              
The promise of justice. The lust for power. The desire to avenge. Soon she will forget about the people who anchored her to humanity and sell her soul to the devil. And then finally, as the bandages marking her a cyborg experiment fall from her body, emerge from pure white feathers as a slayer in the name of God's wrath.
            
             
"All of it will be worth it." He addressed them all, yet only had eyes for her.  

"As long as we win," she finished for him with a voice that showed she had made her decision. A voice that left no challenge to be made. Everyone cheered.
