Alexa is the guarded quiet adopted daughter of the owner of the local Holmes Chapel bakery. She wants nothing more to erase the dark chapters of her life known as her childhood and basically anytime Harry Edward Styles her life long bully was ever within 100 feet of her. When Harry comes back to visit the bakery years later he doesn't recognize her but she does him. Harry hasn't changed but she has. Gone are her giant nerdy glasses and acne. She has lost all the weight that used to get her teased all the time but the scars of her past still remain both physical and mental. So when Harry starts to flirt with her she doesn't fall for it stuck in her mindset that he is a womanizer and nothing more than that. Alexa doesn't want to take the chance in falling for any guy ever again because what happened the last time she did.

I don't endulge in romance like this it's just fun to write. This is also a slow burn. If you're impatient and want character development fast this book isn't for you. I want to keep this story as realistic as possible and people changing their ways overnight isn't. I also just love books where not everything is sped through and you really get to know the characters and their habits.
