"I guess I'm not normal then." Sherlock scanned me up and down. "No. You're not. You are anything but normal, if I cannot read you, Alice Watson." -------------------------- Alice Watson was the polar opposite of the definition of ordinary. At least, that is what she was told a thousand times by Sherlock Holmes. And it was true. Ever since she joined her brother, John, by moving in with him, her world was turned upside down by the high functioning sociopath. The infamous singer and detective quickly found out that he was not the sort of person that anyone would easily deal with. He was rude, obnoxious, and claimed that he was bored when he did not have a good case. So why should she care for him, when he acts so cold to her? There was something about Sherlock Holmes that drove her to him. Maybe, it was because she understood him better than anyone else, or that she simply saw the good in him. Whatever it was, it worked, and it was the two of them against the world. Both of them were battling enemies, certain cases, and experiencing love for the first time. However, their perfect world changed when an enemy from Alice's past, a certain James Moriarty strikes, Sherlock and Alice are thrown into a dangerous world, in which they would have to make choices to save the ones they love, or else they would have to pay the price of the dangerous consulting criminal. One thing is for sure: the game is on. **WARNING: THIS STORY DOES NOT FOLLOW THE SEQUENCE OF SHERLOCK BBC. I DO NOT OWN ANYONE, EXCEPT ESTHER AND ALICE!** **TRIGGER WARNING: SELF-HARM, SUICIDE, OTHER STRONG THEMES. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK, AND IF ANY OF THESE THEMES ARE UNCOMFORTABLE TO YOU, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND READING MY STORY AS I DON'T WANT TO CAUSE ANYONE FURTHER MENTAL PAIN. THANK YOU!**

She steps closer, her voice low but piercing, as if each word is a scalpel cutting through the layers he's wrapped around himself. "You wear your intellect like armor, Sherlock, but even the sharpest mind can't hide the fractures underneath. You think the world is a stage and you're the only actor that matters, but the truth is, we're all performing for someone, even when we're alone. You create this facade of apathy, of superiority, because it's easier than admitting that the void you feel isn't invincibility-it's emptiness. You can solve a thousand cases, but in the silence of your own mind, when no one's watching, you'll have to face the one puzzle you can't crack: yourself. And what terrifies you most isn't that no one understands you-it's that someday, someone might." Her gaze lingers on him for a moment, reading his silence before turning away, her words settling like dust in the empty space between them. [CONTAINS SMUT!] ❗️18+❗️ ~~~ Being the youngest Holmes was always quite the journey, especially when you didn't want to show off your talents, maybe even lack of such. Compared to your brothers you were always the 'dumb' one. The teachers saw it, your parents knew it and your brothers never stopped yapping about it! You could hardly deduce like Sherlock and Mycroft but you didn't mind, that was until you weren't able to deduce Moriarty's true intentions with you. ~~~ All characters belong to Arthur Conan Doyle for original source material and BBC for portrayals! (Sebastian Moran's portrayal is a fan face claim of Michael Fassbender)
