I'm sorry I couldn't tell you everything, after that day at Nina's, so much of everything had changed. They tell me visitors would do me no good in this condition, and if I can't do it in person, I'll write it in this journal, just like I was talking to you over a roasting cup of coffee. I'm so sorry that I can't tell you all this myself, but I hope that as you read this journal, you'll understand why I had to do what I did. I was alone and afraid that I would go mad; I needed help. Four years can't bring back the people we loved, but don't be worried about me, someday I'll return.
