The war that has been predicted eons ago is about to begin. The mad tyrant of the MARVEL Universe is prepared to claim the last thing he needs to perfect his destruction of the universe. Unfortunately, that last thing is on Earth and The Avengers are off world. Fury has taken matters into his own hands and creates a team whose soul mission is to protect the thing the enemy is after. There's only one problem... nobody knows what IT is.
