The Difficult Task of Raising a Weapon

Shadow the Hedgehog is a young creation who has lived with his friend Maria aboard the Space Colony ARK for as long as he's been alive. No one on the ARK expects everything to go wrong in an instant, but a G.U.N. attack on the ARK causes just that to occur. Shadow is blasted down to the planet by Maria, her last wish for him to give everyone on Earth a chance to be happy by protecting the planet.

This story picks up as Shadow, still trapped in the escape pod, is captured by G.U.N. after the organization fails to kill him. Shadow is thrown into stasis, but when he awakes he is shocked to find that no one awaits him outside the tube. Unbeknownst to Shadow, Doctor Eggman was driven away before the madman could contact his grandfather's creation. Cast out on his own on planet Earth (separate from Mobius), Shadow struggles to maintain hope with G.U.N. once again hunting him. Meanwhile, G.U.N. Commander Abraham Tower nurtures a hatred of the weapon he thinks killed Maria. Shadow suspects horrible things await him if he is captured by the Guardian Units of Nations, and knows he can't let such a thing happen.

But, what will become of The Ultimate Lifeform when G.U.N. does find him? Will he be returned to stasis? Killed? Experimented on? And what happens when the Commander realizes Shadow isn't the monster Tower took him to be?
