Mi Ran is a 24 years old Korean. She is also far from being a happy and a cheerful person. Especially when she had to deal for three years with a boyfriend that is far from being at least worth being called a boyfriend.
Hussein is a 26 years old Syrian. He is also the new editor at Mi Ran's news company where she works as a reporter and Mi Ran's best friend's, Joanne, new distraction. However, the young man seems to have eyes only for Mi Ran.
Mi Ran isn't oblivious to Hussein's good looks and great personality, but neither to their culture differences.
