My voice was low and cracked; I felt vulnerable and wanted to hide. I didn't want him to leave me alone, but I was scared of what he was doing to me. I wanted to get away. She's lost, confused, and, most of all, lonely. Life at home is not so great. She was stuck inside the same walls with no escape. She's had enough of it.
