This group of beings would stand against the Dark One, seizing him in his destruction, veiling his anger and sealing it back into the Underworld so the world above would be at peace once more. They called them Guardians. Unfortunately, these powerful beings had mysteriously disappeared five hundred years ago. Now, five hundred years early, the Dark One has awoken once more, intent on destroying the world and spreading the wicked illness of death. The Overworld burns, disease rots and withers away its surface. Its people are slaughtered, stolen away by the hands of death and fear. A young sorcerer witnesses it all.
