She develops Stockholm's syndrome, but some part of her still knows that it is wrong. Red protects the other girls - victims of the cult, who subsequently hate her, thinking she is just another one of their tormentors. Until one day something goes wrong, and with Red's subtle prompting, the police find out about the abhorrent acts being done in the name of religion. And that's when things really get interesting...

Forced to pretend to be normal in a world as strange to her as fluorescent converse, Red must rely on her inner voices to determine what is right or wrong. But how can one be in balance in the world when she is told that everything she has ever known or been a part of was an act against God? I had never seen a monster before, I had this misconception about how it would be. I thought for sure it would be dripping fangs and sharpened claws so to speak. I thought it should at least be easy to tell, that something so evil, so black would leave a mark. Some indication of the stained soul beneath, that if all was fair you should at least be able to tell, feel the evil coming off them. Oh how very wrong this foolish notion was and how unfortunate for me that the very first monster I would ever see would be so horribly beautiful. The first body was left drained of every single drop of blood. It could have been mistaken for a bloodless crime if it weren't for the crimson streaks on the girls' face. It looked random until we learned that it must be the M.O. of the killer seeing as his second victim, my sister held those same markings. It had been an odd sight; she had looked peaceful and unharmed except for the bloody tears that couldn't be washed off no matter how hard they tried. My father, the head sheriff of the Southwood's police station, swore that he would bring my sister the justice she deserved, but things escalated fast. A new body was found nearly every month; Girls would go missing and would later be found with unremovable blood streaks on their faces. The blood was always old, and it belonged to other victims he killed. The stained faces of his victims led most parents to hold closed casket funerals. Only after nearly a year since the murders began did the cops learn that most of the bodies of the bloody faced victims had disappeared. It was a secret that they had yet to reveal to the public in fear of the people of Detroit making a mockery out of them. Surely, they had enough experience in their fields to not be outsmarted by one guy!

"every maid they hired would always quit and they were never seen again, of course the police investigated this but the Gonzalez are a pretty influential family sooo... be careful" she explained. Avery nodded but couldn't forget her co worker's words- at that time, if she had known what was going to happen to her she would've rejected the offer and even moved cities but she didn't, which led her to lots of crazy circumstances. . . . what was going on in the Gonzalez's house? why and how did their previous maids disappear? were they the happy family everyone knew them to be? read the story of Avery willows to see what happens and the mysterious secrets she discovers in the Gonzalez's family house.

Well what can you expect from an artist also born of blood? She was too young to remember much of anything that happened to them she was barely 6 months old but at least she was protected. Kept with her big brother. The only thing she has this memory of in the back of her mind is red everywhere and it was beautiful not in the same way her brothers think of it but more like an artist. She does photography for the police too. She teaches art to kids she helps her brother with his killings. Not in the way you think though. She's the only person that really understands him. She never saw him as a monster or something evil. Normal serial killers they're said to not have emotions or feelings but she knows that he loves her and that he's grateful for me. Dad never knew they kept it hidden well enough somehow that he never found out she knew the truth and their sister never knew either. His favourite hobby is to track down rapists and murders, then bring them back to his cabin in the wood by any means necessary. Chop them up and dispose of the parts so they're never seen of again. It's either that or dump the body's near water to wash it of evidence. But one snow covered night, when he travels down to the frozen lake to slide a body under the ice, he finds another body. In one piece and without a pulse. While still riding his high, he takes the frozen body back to his cutting room. After all, who would waste a good body? He knows everything about her, the reason she became human, the two powers she could have, the truth of how her father died. He begins to protect her life with his own.
