I had an ego the size of a planet. At least since I was three, I hid my shyness and general utter misanthropy for the human race under a crappy braggadocio and pomp that would make even the devil blush if I carried through with it into my 20s. Pathetic, really. Then again, at the age of three I still hadn't formulated my personality yet.
