This story is about a them named Avia Grace Smith. (But everyone calls them AJ) They are indifferent, but not because of the reasons you would think. First of all, they are pansexual and genderfluid which makes them different from everyone else all on its own. Secondly, they are emo. Their pixie cut, emo banged, black hair (with white strands, of course) stands out among the crowd of regular blonde, brown, red, and black haired girls and guys. They are 18 years old and they have an amazing girlfriend by the name of Adeleah Rachelle Bennett. (But everyone calls her Leah) They think about her flowing blonde hair every second of the day and every time their lips touch, it's like sparks are mystically flying everywhere. Everything seems like its good right now, but this story will take a jurassic turn when Avia takes her last breath and then realizes... she's not gone...

"Once upon a time, there was a special child who never aged. To protect it from harm, I hid it within myself, until one day I forgot it was there." What happens when your child is taught to hate you? When Sienna falls in love, she embraces her partner's young daughters, Adele and Nina, with an open heart. But her dream of a happy, blended family is fragile. Unseen by them, a campaign of manipulation has already begun, its goal to poison the girls' hearts against the father they adore. Told from the unique and often silent perspective of a stepmother, this poignant memoir exposes the devastating reality of parental alienation and the profound grief of mourning children who are still alive. Yet, Hope is a Gentle Flicker is ultimately a story of courageous love. It is a testament to getting lost in order to be found anew, and to the unwavering commitment of a father and stepmother who choose to love in the face of rejection, protecting that fragile flicker of hope day after day, year after year, waiting to be a family again. A gripping and emotionally charged story for anyone who believes in the resilience of the human heart.
