Chloe is just a normal 17-year-old who lives in Cambridge, England. At least, that's what she wants you to think. In the eye of the Royal Court, she is "Her Royal Highness, Chloe Elizabeth Adelaide Marie of Kent". While the press is focused on her extended family, Duke William of Cambridge and Prince Henry, her parents have managed to keep her from the scrutiny of the media. That is, until she turns 18, and has to be legally announced to the world.

When Grace was forced to take the entrance exams and subsequently got in, she assumed that leaving home to go to boarding school wouldn't be all that different to living with her parents who had never paid her much attention. Surrounded by new friends who have normal relationships with their parents and gaining confidence from them, Grace comes to question the way she was raised for the first time, but can she and her parents carve out a new relationship when they are so far apart and hardly see one another? We all make promises. We all say that we'll keep those promises going for eternity. But, they never actually last that long. Being royal doesn't mean they're immune to the outside world. They have feelings just like anyone else. They have deaths and they have issues they need to deal with. Princess Abigail isn't any different. She lost her mum young, she feels pressured by the public to be the epitome of perfect. Her boyfriend, Klein, is trying to help her but she feels like he's adding to her pressure. And often she feels like there's no way out. When she was younger, she had an accident that's led her to live the way she does. She hates things the way they are. She just wants everything to freeze so she can bask in its glory before it's disappeared for good. Her mother, Queen Louisa, died before Abigail reached her teenage years, therefore, her mother made Abigail promise a lot of things. Some of them are quite absurd but Abigail promised them nonetheless. All she wanted was to make her mother proud. Her father, brother, grandmother, cousin, soon-to-be in-laws and her boyfriend are trying hard to get her to see sense. They just don't know if they're trying too hard or not at all. So here we are, anxiety-ridden Catherine forced to compete in this competition with other people her age just to help her family with finances, and finally receive affection from her mother. Things at the Academy are alright, rocky, but overall she's alright. She's just passing by. Until, she discovers some dark truths against her world that she can't bear to ignore any further. These truths both propel her into action, and cause her to question all she's known her entire sheltered life.
