She lives with her best friend Amara Johnson in their apartment. Kendra's mom is British and from Doncaster causing her to know The Tomlinson's. Kendra lived in the UK for a while she moved out once she reached 19 and moved to The US. She recently moved back and moved in with Amara. Kendra's a YouTube cover artist hoping to get noticed she might join the x Factor though.

When the boys come to visit during the summer, Dakota begins to have more than friendly feelings for a seemingly off limits childhood friend. However, she feels that she can't act on her feelings because as far as she knows, it's someone else's fairytale.
