Magnus fixed his gun over his shoulder and smiled broadly. "We can go wherever we like, Alexander. There's no rules anymore. We're all just skin and bones."

The year is 2025. Five years ago, a deadly disease was released worldwide that reanimates the dead and turns them into flesh eating corpses. Once bitten, you turn into one them. First comes the fever. Then comes death. Then the reanimation.
The news will tell you to stay inside. Don't listen. They will tell you to go to an evacuation center. Don't go. They will tell to stay in large groups to ensure safety. That's not always the case. No place is safe, only safer.
Either you survive or you die. Or else you're left for dead.
