"I have friends! I have a family!" Em shouted. "I should be with them. I should be a child still. I should be licking droplets of sherbet off of my ice cream cone in the heat of a raving summer. I should be giggling into my overpriced phone till midnight obsessing over gorgeous movie stars and the hot teenaged boys way out of our league at school with my best friend. I should be secretly sneaking out of the house in a too-tight minniskirt, and makeup caked over my face. I should be arguing with my parents over wether or not I'm allowed to attend Jimmy Kernal's crazy sweet sixteen party. I should be complaining about Mr. Rice and how much of a jerk he is for heaping up our class's homework assignments. I should be a kid still! I shouldn't be forced to grow up so fast." Her voice broke. "N-none of should." ***** Exposed to radiation, five young teens are forced to grow up too soon. Forced into the terrible careers of assassins, rejected from their families and handling inhumane super powers, the five of them would love to have their old seemingly tiny problems of self doubt teenaged love.

Nobody expects something supernatural to happen to them. Those kind of things only happened in comics. Fairy Tales. Unrealistic dreams that you'd fall asleep to, silently wishing for them to come true. At least, that was what these three teenagers thought. It turns out that there is so much more to their simple universe than they ever could have imagined. After each finding a strange alien artifact, the teens are suddenly thrusted into an intergalactic war. Alien species everywhere are trying to hunt down the most powerful weapons in the galaxy. And they are the ones in possession of it. When they run into a girl that claims to be from another planet, the three kids learn about the power given to them and the responsibilities that come along with it. Instantly, they are the most popular people in the galaxy. And for once, popularity couldn't feel more like a curse. Fighting grudges, fear, and distrust, the Chosen humans must travel to the one place on Earth where they might be safe. And with strange new powers, the teenagers struggle to live in the unfamiliar world they thought they knew so well.
