In a world where adventure is a myth, rebelliousness is condemned, and knowledge is the strongest weapon, 14 young adults scattered across the globe contain the ability to do the extraordinary. Possessing powers from bending time to manifesting light, these unique 14 individuals are called the Militibus de Lumine.

During the 13th decade of Alfie Notts' presidency, he searches America for Fourteen, the strongest and final member of the Lumine. As each province undergoes The Choosing, Constance Thea Beaumont, a girl who craves adventure is selected to go to the Capital to perceive is she has the possibility of being Fourteen.

Unbeknownst by Notts and The Lumine, Constance is indeed Fourteen reborn. Recognized as one of their leaders, The Rebellion immediately attempts to bring her back with them and save her from joining the power hungry president.

After an unsuccessful rescue, Constance is taken to the Capital where her physical and mental capacities are pushed to their limits.

Join Constance as she creates allies, struggles to regain memory of her past lives, and goes on the prohibited adventure she has been craving since she was a teenager.

The saying is though, in a society that has abolished all the adventure, the only adventure left is to abolish that society.
