Kaira Jones worked as an agent in her uncle's business. Thirteen years after her parents' death, she moved in with her uncle who was a notorious arms dealer who worked for the government. Working for him wasn't considered an easy job but she managed just fine. Climbing up the ranks until she was entrusted with all of the secret dealings, the company's greatest asset.

Completely happy with her life, she didn't expect to fall through a portal that led her to a mysterious land belonging to creatures who identified themselves as Fae. 

She definitely didn't expect it to happen right in the middle of her weekly hookup session with her ex.

In a new land belonging to creatures a billion times powerful than mankind, Kaira is taken in by the mysterious and drop dead gorgeous High Lord of the Night Court.

Living in a world with the Fae, adjusting to their different priorities and principles- all Kaira wanted to do was get back home before her uncle suspected that she was a part of an underhand deal that would push him from his position of power. Agreeing to work with Rhysand and his court, she strikes a deal with them. 

All is well and good until her emotions get the best of her and she finds herself in a battle of wits with none other than the Spymaster of the Night Court.
