shadow needs to think of something other than work, Rouge worries that he isn't taking care of himself and is going insane, even though he has a house in mobius he rather sleep up on the ark. But when Rouge sits him down to invite him to sonic and sally's wedding he complies and sees a long lost friend who obviously needs a friend.

Despite the life threatening situation, Shadow and Amy's connection grows closer and closer which ultimately leads to them having an affair which eventually leads them to being together, much to the disdain of not only Sonic, but to the entire group, unfortunately, it later becomes a weakness which will give Mephiles a possible one up against the team Will Amy and the rest of the crew find a cure for Shadow's condition or will he forever be Mephiles' murderous puppet? No one has ever been able to make Shadow feel the way Maria has. No one has been able to make him hope again. On the night of Princess Sally's Birthday Ball, a truth is revealed to Amy about Sonic. Something...unexpected, causes her to run away from the party ashamed. That same night she shows someone the extent of her strength that she holds back. It's safe to say he's impressed...
