This is the story of my life, where Dragons owned the hallways in all their lavious glory and Princes used the Ugly Ducklings before they moved onto the Princesses, and hulmilated the Ugly Duckings.
Emilia couldn't have been happier for her senior year of high school to come. Not only did it mean that she would finally be out of this hell hole for good in ten months, but it was a beginning of new chances. With her makeover, and new found confidence, she was ready for her first- ever boyfriend and to go out with friends without feeling like a ugly duckling.
For Emilia this isn't just her last year of high school, but the beginning of the rest of her life. With constantly moving and never having a close group of friends, and no one to call family but her mom and sister. Emilia is ready for a stable life, one that doesn't involve anxiety, and depression, and being poor and sad with lost hope.
In this coming of age story, Emilia battles her way thru life, finding her way and learning that not everyone can be trusted. After all, when everything is going up in flames, what can go right?

Carter slowly walked towards me, butterflies swarming in my stomach, filling every inch of me. "Assi." he grabbed my wrists, and made me look at him. "Who was that song about?" "You know who."
