Heather Anderson thought that middle school would be easy this year. Or at least, she hoped it would be. 

But it hasn't even been too long since the school year began, and she's already messed things up with a lot of people. 

And when the one friend she made this year suddenly gets a mysterious illness, she decides that she'll be the one to figure out what's going on and hopefully save her, just so she doesn't mess things up with one more person.

However, she soon learns that saving someone isn't as easy as it sounds, no matter how hard you try. 

And that maybe her friend isn't the one that needs saving after all.
