Magic has been revealed to the world.  Boston, Massachusetts has become a nightmare for Magi - those who can harness this power.  The fear and suspicion, held by only a few, is likely to spread.  It's impossible to know how long it will be before the rest of the United States declares Magi as a public threat.

Two months ago, Zane Thomas had to sit and watch as the Governor of Massachusetts announced the execution of his mother and friend.  Ten other Magi were killed that day, and the announcement was answered with applause.  Zane has to decide where his life will go from here.  Will he stay in the relative safety of his grandfather's home in Vancouver?  Will he let loss, doubt, and self-recrimination hold him hostage?  Will he fight to save himself and others?  Only he can decide, but his decisions will affect far more people than just himself.  They could even change the world.
