Phoenix is a dark brown-haired girl with a knack for attracting trouble.
She and her best friend Chris live in Troika where there used to be the United States before The Event. The nation is split into three parts. One part is called Loafers, they're the snobby rich people who do nothing but attempt to govern the country. Another section is the Toilers, they do nothing but work outside in the fields. The last part is called the Shrewd's, they are all smarts and arrogance.
Phoenix and Chris hate it here and want to escape by going over The Fence. It surrounds the country and is supposed to keep unwanteds out but really it's keep us in.
In their attempt to run away to be part of The Shamed (people beyond the fence) will they find more problems than they are leaving behind?

"Zachary." I snickered. He growled playfully as I laughed, dodging his attempt to grab me and took off running in a random direction.
