One night she wakes in the early hours, to find her husband watching her, with a very unfamiliar hunger. Caught in a whirlwind of midnight visits and whispered promises, Maria finally understands what it is to be loved...or so she thinks.

By night her husband is becoming the lover she's always dreamt of, but by day he becomes ever crueler and more withdrawn.

Married to one man with two faces, when her husband's science experiment goes too far, Maria's life is turned upside down. Caught somewhere between love, her loyalty to her husband and fear for her life, Maria must save herself, by any means necessary, before it's too late.

In the ashes, only love remains.
