Long ago, in the Land of Equestria, two Royal sisters ruled with peace and harmony. The elder used her Unicorn magic to raise the sun, and bring about the day. Meet Gold Shield, a Unicorn colt who lost his parents, and was abandoned by his other family members. He was your average colt, nothing special, but he had a knack for spotting trouble. That's what caused him to save a young Twilight Sparkle as she was studying for a test. Yet, he didn't stop there. He went on to CONTINUE helping her by studying with her until she got every spell down, even going as far as to show her a concentration technique. However, what if he were to notice a pattern in the attacks, and even thwart one during Twilight's test? What if it lead to him discovering his special talent?

It all makes sense in my opinion because Twilight wouldn't be a princess without the other five. She ends up entering her inner self and attempts to fight it, but when she loses, all hell breaks loose and this time the elements can't stop this enemy, because as Luna loses. The elements of harmony are destroyed due to an ancient and forgotten power that Luna's inner demon knows about. It is left up to a single alicorn to fight off this terrifying antagonist.
