I was about to go to sleep, but he tapped on my bedroom window.
A total stranger in the middle of the night.
He offered his hand, and told me to join him in his life of freedom.
I learned he only had one goal which unfortunately, was number three on my bucket list I swore to complete.
We both wanted to see a beautiful aurora weave the sky in the North Pole.
You might not get another chance. I told myself, taking his hand then climbing out my bedroom window.

An Endless Day
"Alright, it's 12 noon. Deal or not?" I couldn't look at him, so I stared at the beauty in front of me. Somehow I knew he was watching it too. I felt like we were characters of a famous story, standing side by side, gazing ahead. I hesitated, my heart was beating fast, I was almost afraid that he's going to hear it too. But for the first time in my life, I trusted my heart and told my brain to go to hell. The girl lead in this story was going to do what she wanted, and won't fear the consequences. "Let's do this." I said and turned towards him. We remained silent for a couple of moments, absorbing the meaning of the deal we just agreed to. And then I saw his lips turned upwards just enough for me to notice. He turned to me and held my hand. I felt several emotions just by touching him. Nervousness, excitement, fear, happiness all at once. I pushed them all aside, and smiled ear to ear. He held his hand up, counting down to three, my heart racing with every finger he raised. And just as he finished, we jumped off the cliff.Complete

My fan fic "A Christmas Carol Reimagined" is the tale of a miserly middle aged man--a friend to no one--who is scared into realizing the folly of his ways when he is visited by three ghosts (past, present, and future). He then vows to be compassionate toward his fellow man and through his good deeds, he redeems himself--and he comes to know the meaning of love. My story here is my "mash up" of "A Christmas Carol" (original story by Charles Dickens) with Elizabeth Gaskell's "North & South", JRR Tolkien's (via Sir Peter Jackson's films of) "The Hobbit", and is set in the 1850's. But the boy was taken aback. "You can see me?!" He asked, almost in disbelief. You raised an eyebrow, "..Yes?.. You're not exactly hiding very well if this is hide n' seek," you stated back at him. "She can see me.." he said to himself, almost in shock, and then his face broke into an endless smile, "She can see me!" The boy did a backflip, which you admitted was impressive because you can't even do a cartwheel, and he landed back on his bare feet. "Sorry to interrupt this.. reunion you're having with yourself but, am I not supposed to see you, or?..." You trail off, but he understood you perfectly, almost as if he's gotten this question before before. You still had your guard up. "Okay, so I'm not exactly.. Human.. or alive.. Well I'm here but I'm not alive because I'm a Winter spirit. I make winter!" He stated. You both stared at each other for a minute or two in complete silence. Then you blinked. Twice even. "Uh.. What? A winter spirit?" He nodded, "Oh, like Jack Frost?" He smirked, and almost started laughing as he crossed his arms, "Snowflake, I am Jack Frost," ~*~ Y/n has had a troubled past, starting with her family passing away and having no friends, she lives alone in her house as a 16 year old girl. But when Pitch Black is back, she and the Guardians have to find a way to defeat him (again).
