Child is a steampunk sci-fi thriller. In second person, present tense, you, a mostly introverted, non-binary ten year old, are found at a train station with no belongings and no memory, by a nice woman in a WWI style gas mask. When nobody can find any leads as to who your parents are or where you came from, she adopts you as her own child. Your search for truth and need for belonging lead you on a bizarre adventure involving a group of train thieves, a message conveyed through ant trails, a group of unqualified astronauts, a chocolate milk-loving drag queen, and a lot of things you would give your left ear to unsee. I'm not sure what this is going to be when I'm done. I've finished the whole plot narrative, but I have to fix the writing, because it's too fast-paced and it's supposed to be slow. Constructive criticism is appreciated. I feel like I should say this so nobody gets confused: It isn't related to anything going on now. It's future/past. The mask thing is just a sci-fi thing.Concluida
Clockworks Chronicles of Zahn: The Orphans: Like Clockwork
Steampunk stories from the alternate universe world of Zahn. The world is a mix of steampunk and fantasy where only the simplest of mechanics work without magic. Ouihan is a street orphan with an unknown past. Unknown even to himself. He has been sent to a prestigious school for clockworks mages by an unknown benefactor where he has to find his way in the world and unlock his hidden past. Suddenly he finds himself embroiled in a plot to overthrow the benevolent and ritgeous empress of The Civilization. He and a group of other street orphans try to help the Empress find her way back to her throne despite the persistent attacks from the Shadowmen, an elite assassins organization. Also embroiled in the plot is Captain Calvin Cooper, the empress's man. An immortal from Earth.Concluida
Stainburrow (Prologue)
Steampunk city with a type of regime, fantasy elements and vampires (a lot more like Alucard from Hellsing then this teen drama bullshiet) guy gets pushed into a rebellion by a pupet master like entity. Plus there is a horrific enemy with lots of gore which was inspired by monsters from deadspace. Look i am awful at powerphrasing. just read a couple of chapters (and excuse how bad the first one is, ill have to rewrite that one ;-;) and see if you like it. This now serves as a prologue to my current much larger book (Stainburrow) but it is very separate from it. It also requires a complete re-write. Should information in this conflict with something in that book than Stainburrow should be considered cannon rather than the prologue.Concluida
