In a broken society where twenty-five percent of the population owns a dragon, Micha is after his own. He faces a life of isolation for his choices and beliefs. Getting a beast of his own may be the only way to make his mark in the world. Maybe he'd even join the Black Dragons, an elite fighting force meant to protect the kingdom from the outside world. But when the Rujan festival unfolds, he's left behind in the ashes.
He will have to use his much-hated talents and wits to rise once again.
