When the rain clouds disappear
Aaron felt that rain clouds surrounded him and he was perfectly comfortable with that, he didn't like people- end of story. That is until Keira, the personification of sunlight and his new next door neighbour comes along and flips his entire love for solitude on its head. Then the rain clouds begin to disappear... Aaron sat and listened to me as shadows danced off his jaw, I watched as it flexed. "I cant believe anyone could find you too much" he said looking almost perplexed by the idea of it. "I mean your laugh, your voice, your smile, it all fits you so perfectly" My breath hitched at his words. No one had ever said that to me it felt almost like a confession of some sorts. Life was dull, boring, and mechanical. I’ve always wondered if this would change. If something interesting will happen. I always hoped something interesting will happen. A falling meteor that would destroy half of town, an alien invasion, or even the Apocalypse. Anything, just to relieve me of this monotonous life I lead. “Urgh,” I groaned as I reached over to turn off the alarm clock that sounded like a hundred sirens in the early hours of dawn. The golden sun hasn’t come out to expel the surrounding darkness yet. I figured it would take an hour more or so for the sun to show its shining face, so I decided to eat breakfast and take a bath first. But little did I know that today was the day that my life would change. It was the day I met her. ---------- A short story. Hey guys! This is my first try writing a pure romance story.
