Blinding light gathers at the ends of his fingertips, shimmering brightly, as if he were made of gold. With a twist of his head, he could glance around, taking in the white space before him. White space was what comforted him. But he only saw it in his dreams. When he awoke, it was black again. Xavier is blind. He has been his entire life, and has lived in a small hospital, off the coast of California. It was a small town, but he loved it. He loved the smells, the sounds, the feeling of the sand. But he wish he could say he loved the sights. His friend, a nurse named Ivan, would always take him out and about, and before Xavier new it, he had fallen in love. But Xavier is hesitant to tell Ivan his feelings.

Lily and Xavier's story is a heartfelt, emotional journey of finding hope, healing, and love in the most unexpected way. It begins with pain and loneliness-Lily, a quiet girl battling a life-threatening brain tumor, has learned to live each day like it might be her last. She's strong, but weary. Her life is small and quiet, shaped by fear, routine, and fading dreams. Then comes Xavier-charming, kind, and unexpectedly drawn to her when she's at her lowest, humiliated at a birthday party and ready to disappear from the room and maybe even the world. But he sees her-not her illness, not her sadness, but her. And that small act of compassion turns into friendship... and something slowly, deeply more. Their story is not just about romance-it's about Lily learning to open herself up again, to let someone in even when she doesn't know how long she'll have. And it's about Xavier choosing her over what's easy or popular, choosing love that's raw and real. When Lily receives news that her tumor is shrinking, it becomes a turning point-not just for her health, but got her heart. The countdown she's lived by begins to fade, and she starts to believe in a future. With Xavier beside her, she begins to dream again. Together, they build something quiet, steady, and powerful. Their story is soft, tender, and brave-a reminder that love doesn't need forever to be real. Sometimes, all it takes is choosing each other in the moments you do have. It's about living before the last night ever comes.
