Violet has always been silent. Ever since she was found by the x men, she never spoke and if she did ( which was rarely ) she would talk in whispers. The team accepted she Is severely autistic but still wants to know about her.
Violet soon becomes intrigued by Nightcrawler aka Kurt Wanger. She remains her silent self until she gains a confidence from the blue skinned boy to speak up.

Kerri was just a normal teenager with maybe a little worse than normal home life, and an ok but dull school life. That is, until she one day develops an interesting problem. She gains mutant powers, and her appearance starts changing randomly with her emotions. Now she has to try and keep those under a tighter lock than before, because mutant hysteria has hit her town, and she went from an unknown quiet bookworm to the topic on everybody's tongue.
