Thomas always wanted to play volleyball but everyone was afraid of him and he wasn't allowed to play so he got really depressed and he was depressed all through middle school. Over the summer going into karasuno he met trinity who wasn't afraid of him and they played volleyball together and quickly became best friends. And Thomas is trying to hide the fact that he is gay and trinity soon figures it out and Thomas is afraid she might expose him.
Thomas survived a whole year of hiding. Let's see what happens in his second year.
