Ankhesepaaten grew up in dangerous times. Daughter of the Heretic Pharaoh and Queen, Ankhesepaaten is at the centre of the action. Do the city folk love them, or hate them?
When her father dies, the court is in a whirl. Was he murdered? Poisoned? Natural causes? Taken by his God?
She lives to see her cruel and harsh brother take the throne. As the sister of a queen, Ankhesenpaaten is thrown into the heart of the city, and the public attention.
But then her brother and sister are killed before her eyes. Married to her younger brother - next in line for the throne - at her father's dying wish, before she knows, she is made Queen. But does Ankhesenpaaten want to be Queen? And more importantly- with her father, brother, and two sisters murdered - will she be next?
