Coran feels like he is in a sea of fog after sleeping for ten-thousand years in cryostasis, with no family left. The sea also comes in his dreams, a foggy mess.

Disclaimer -  I don't own Voltron: Legendary Defender. This is written for prompt number 250 of my 2017 prompt challenge. The prompt is to use a piece of art from the Romanticism period as inspiration. For this one, I choose the 1818 painting 'Wanderer above the Sea of Fog' by Caspar David Friedrich. This is my second fic for the challenge. I'm working with the Keith and Shiro are brothers theory again, but also the theory that their mother is the former blue paladin.

Earth is saved from the Galra, and the Paladins of Voltron are the heroes of the Galaxy Garrison, well all except for Keith. He'd been kicked out before the war, and they didn't want him back. He's alone again. Lance, Pidge, and Hunk are employed by the Garrison, Shiro leads missions off world, Allura and Coran are establishing a new world for the Alteans who'd survived, and the Blade don't need him. Keith works in a coffee shop and gets by the best he can, on the little money he earns. This story is loosely based on the paladins of Voltron. "No they don't, just give them some time to adjust," Keith turned around, pulling Lance's arm around him, "They have to get used to you. None of us hate you, not the smallest bit." Lance waited for Keith to argue but the boy had already fallen asleep. Lance hugged the boy tighter as he copied his steady breaths. "I could never hate you." ------------------------------------------------- Keith gets kidnapped during a simple mission of the paladins. He's tortured and abused for three days, leaving him a damaged mess. The paladins finally find him and bring him home, but Keith is acting strange, stranger than usual. I obviously don't own Voltron.
