Bea is the talk of the town. She is the first fairy to ever be accepted to train at the prestigious Academy. Not only that, but thanks to her, the Mirrors are working again and the fae city of Ænathlin is enjoying a rare moment of prosperity. For once, life is good.

So when Bea arrives at the Academy she is determined to keep quiet, behave herself and not, absolutely not, get into any more trouble. But when things start going bump in the night, Bea just can't help investigating...

The Academy is the sequel to The Fairy's Tale, and picks up the story immediately after the events of that book. It brings back Bea, Melly, Joan, Ana, John and Mistasinon, among others, and introduces new characters and new villains. Written as a pastiche of the classic Victorian Gothic Horror novels, it explores what it really means to be haunted...
