For years of its history, Humanity is convinced the universe revolves around them. That is not the case by the year 2304 CE. The domain of Humans is just a small scab in the Milky Way, a mere pawn among aliens who monopolize the galactic politics.

Humans are divided by many factions. The two greatest of them all, the Earth United Command and the Strategic Asian Defense Iniative, continually push for winning the favour of humans' weak population. Another faction, the Galactic Roman Empire, is starting to establish its presence.

This all means nothing for Galactic Roman Legionnaire Tiberio Pelagius who is an even smaller pawn. Two years ago, he was the center of attention in Humanity for carrying out an assasination. That was over, and now Tiber fights as a common grunt on the frontlines for the Empire. If he dies, he'll be a meaningless name on a casualty list.

A peculiar visit to him will steer his path to the focus of Imperial politics....and war.

100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden. With Iron Guard, the resistance outside the walls, hunting the Purebloods too, will the trial save human race before it's too late? #3 in #dystopianfuture (27.06.2020)

| Description | Vic, a young man in his early 20s, suddenly finds himself waking up in the crazy fucked up world of Borderlands in a body not his own. He's initially troubled with the situation he awoke to like any normal person would be. However, he doesn't remain in that state for long because of the many opportunities this new chance at life could bring him. The young man could've stayed miserable about the whole scenario he's been placed in, but he decides to make the best of things and embrace the opportunity he was given out of the blue. So armed with a plethora of knowledge about the dangerous world he awoke in, thanks to the many thousands of hours he's poured into the Borderlands series and a system reminiscent of those from the games, he sets out from the bandit tent ready to stake his claim on the world and live life to its fullest. | Additional Information | I don't really care for any of the games beyond the pre-sequel, so anything written story wise after it will be ignored and probably not used. This also includes the telltale games and the upcoming Borderlands 4 game that looks like a carbon copy of 3. This work is only available on Webnovel, Royal Road, Scribble Hub, Wattpad, FanFiction.net, and Fenrir Realm. (AN: I plan to conquer the Milky Way galaxy.) In the aftermath of the Great Galactic War, the Sith withdrew into the uncharted depths of the unknown regions, their empire splintered and fractured by infighting. Amidst the chaos, a force-wielding noble of House Thule, Adrian Thule, rose as an unlikely savior of order. With charisma, tactical brilliance, and a vision of unity, Adrian rallied those disillusioned by Sith tyranny. Over two decades of brutal civil war, his armies crushed the Sith remnants, forging a new empire from the ashes of discord. This new empire chose secrecy, its leaders deeming the greater galaxy unworthy of their renewed strength. They withdrew into the vast void, colonizing and conquering the unknown regions of their home galaxy. Unshackled by external interference, they built a civilization both advanced and unyielding, guided by Thule's principles of discipline, power, and order. The galaxy they left behind forgot them, but they did not forget the galaxy. Two and a half millennia have passed since Adrian Thule's ascension, and the empire, its strength unmatched within its borders, has turned its gaze outward. The unknown regions are no longer a frontier-they are the empire's dominion. Driven by curiosity, ambition, and an innate sense of destiny, their explorers have begun probing the borders of other galaxies. The Milky Way is their first discovery. A galaxy teeming with life, its fractured alliances and diverse civilizations present both opportunities and threats. The empire, watching from the shadows, prepares to make its move. Will the Milky Way prove to be a theater for conquest, an ally against the unknown, or a stage for a cataclysmic clash of civilizations? The echoes of Adrian Thule's legacy resonate through time as the empire stands at the brink of a new chapter, poised to redefine the fate of two galaxies. The question is no longer whether the galaxy is ready for the empire-it is whether the empire is ready for the galaxy.

It is the 33rd century, war still rages endlessly, and amongst the stars humanity remains fractured. The Galactic Empire, forged on the carcass of the old Republic, persists with its conquest for complete and unparalleled domination over the vast reaches of the cosmos, and to purge that which they see unfit as they spread their perversion of what the Republic once stood for. While independent rebel forces with their minuscule manpower each push back against The Emperor's cruel regime with all their might, they suffer tremendous casualties and are executed with exceptional cruelty. This new spark of a Galactic Civil War has already lit a fire too big to quell now, and will only get stronger. The Empire already has torn apart countless star systems, the inhabitants either joining the untold billions of the Empire, or being crushed under their heel. To be a man in such times is to live in fear, fear of the unchanging cruelty from the Emperor's iron fist, fear of stepping out of line. There is little hope in the midst of the scent of death and the cruel laughter of Imperial Officers, yet many hold on. Meanwhile in a distant and quiet forest of Kashyyyk, unscorched by blaster fire, a surviving Jedi and her family resides. Soon however, that will change, as the Empire has located the family. A young child known as Rosetta Carmine, child of the hunted Jedi, resides in a shack in a Wookie village unaware of how drastically this day will change the trajectory of her life, and the galaxy as a whole. Act 1 is very heavily influenced by The Force Unleashed 1 Act 2 is still in development (Descriptions will be updated as more is written, there will also be a lot of revisions bc I'm always changing shit so my apologies for that. Everything in this story is subject to change)
