He wipes icing on my nose after I did the same on his, and we laugh at each other. Then I hear her laugh from my chamber's door and I turn to look at her, but before I can see her; I see myself running. A boy is holding my hand, not letting go even when the ground trembles as an explosion happens close by. I trip and slip over the rocks lying about, yet he never lets go, but helps me up or covers me with his own body as shreds of rocks fly in all directions from explosions.
By now I see the dock close by; the only place not damaged. Boats lie side by side, some already taking off, some have people still loading, children, elders and pregnant women climbing onto them. As I'm pulled towards the dock I try and look back, struggling against the boys' hold; still he never lets go. Then suddenly I feel a arm go around me and the boy and I are lifted off the ground and carried to the dock. There we are set down, so I turn around to confront the familiar face of a man. But before I could even utter a single syllable he spoke, addressing me, but I couldn't hear a what he said.
He pulled me into an embrace, kissed my forehead and left. I tried to folow but was held back...
"You can't." I heard the boy say, so I stoped struggling and burried my face into the crook of the little boys' neck crying myself out. Latter on I heard another persons voice mutter something, I didn't quite understand, into my ear. A deep craving to go to sleep came over me and my knees gave under me, but the boy caugt me and pulled me onto his lap.
But before I blacked out I felt his hand in mine once again, the last thing I saw were his beautiful emeral green eyes and the last thing I heard was his voice, his promise to me.
"I will always be there for you; no matter where you are I will always be there with you. Even if you can't see me princess, I will see you soon again."
Then darkness took over everything, and my heart felt like it had died.
